What Are The Consequences Of Our Actions?

The society we end up with, all being well

This section needs to provide some estimate of what the new world will be like.

There is also the opportunity for some “reverse engineering” – identifying what we want to end up with and working back to how we get it, which may in turn help more people to get involved.

More research is needed.

PHYSICAL

Greener (literally)

Greater food production (Dig For Victory, Incredible Edible Britain)

Better sewage management to avoid polluting rivers

Retrofit houses

ECONOMIC

Greater self-sufficiency

Greater value to agriculture and renewable energy

More carbon-neutral manufacture and export

Changed skill sets and education

SOCIAL

Greater local resilience and independence

Different balance between local decision and national direction

Change the rules where necessary
